  • A Bag Full of Lies

    Godina izdanja: 2011.

A Bag Full of Lies, a book of plays based on six stories from the Croatian folklore heritage, is a kind of counterpart of Noah's Cat, Sanja Lovrenčić’s award-winning book of plays based on motifs from world folklore. Both take place in a recognizable fairy-tale milieu, building fragile stage houses for resourceful individuals capable of establishing contact among detached worlds. Even our memories of old stories that we once heard become an active device for creating an amazing decor and producing a theatre of the past. (Lidija Dujić, ed)

  • Noah’s Cat

    Godina izdanja: 2010.

Grigor Vitez Award 2010 These six texts based on stories from the world folklore heritage, prepared by Sanja Lovrenčić, are short, communicative and witty outlines for children's onstage play. Adults may also be interested in why cats sit on the doorstep and what that has to do with Noah's Ark, whether all birds were really white in the beginning, and what the expression "put salt on somebody's tail" means. (…) The didascaliae that accompany the plays in this collection are also interesting. In addition to the usual and expected information about the characters' behaviour, manner of address or mise-en-scène, they also bring very specific stage proposals, and these were in turn an incentive for additional editorial instructions on the possibilities and management of stage performances.
